Seeing a need to provide services and affordable housing to adults who are at risk of remaining or becoming homeless, the Better Living Foundation and its sister companies formed an organization to provide sensible solutions. We've consistently grown since then, all thanks to the helping hands of this amazing community!

On January 22, 2020, there were a total of 1379 individuals who were counted as homeless on the Treasure Coast. 

The Better Living Foundation is a proud member of the Treasure Coast Homeless Services Council.

We provide the support people need to stay housed. We connect people to community-based services, education and employment opportunities, and benefits enrollment.   

These values guide our Philosophy of Care as we work for and alongside people experiencing poverty and homelessness in our society to improve their circumstances, while simultaneously advocating for societal changes toward equity and justice.

The Better Living Foundation Housing Program is a twenty-four month transitional housing and employment program operated by Better Living Foundation, Inc., a Florida Non-Profit Corporation. The program is to provide adult Participants with employment guidance and educational materials that develop independent living skills which could include lessons on budgeting, grocery shopping and cooking, cleaning, household management, use of community resources, public transportation, time management, planning and scheduling, personal hygiene and self-care; providing the Participant an opportunity to establish stability therefore positioning themselves to make sound decisions.  Participants will reside in an independent living setting within the BLFHP community.
